The Scirocco is built for those with a thirst for track-burning motor sport. Thanks to the Tiptronic system with shift paddles behind the leather steering wheel, you can now enjoy all the advantages of seamless gear shifting with a 6-speed DSG automatic gearbox, but still have the ability to take over manual control at will. Drive with power on the road with a 2.0 TSI engine that attains a maximum power of 210 bhp at 6,000 rpm. The Adaptive Chassis Control also lets you choose the kind of driving experience you want, customised to the terrain and traffic conditions.

Make no mistake, the Scirocco ventures forth like a daredevil out of his cage, befitting the sportiest automobile in the Volkswagen range. The silhouette of unbridled boldness starts at the teeth-baring grills of the upper air intake, which forms a homogenous band with the headlights. The Scirocco is also the first model to showcase Volkswagen’s new front-end concept for all future cars: chrome lamp bodies and high-sheen black surfaces for the headlamp housings and radiator grille cross bar, with the “VW” emblem mounted on the engine hood rather than the radiator grille.

Slip into the cockpit of the Scirocco and you’ll know this sports coupe is not to be messed with. A low seating position and flat-bottom leather steering wheel emphasise the Scirocco’s sports tuning, while its structured dashboard, white-lit instrument panel and chrome-matt detailing add a touch of class. Though brawny on the outside, the Scirocco’s four sculpted sports seats with integrated head rests give both driver and passengers a snug and comfortable fit. The Scirocco’s factory-fitted RNS 510 radio navigation system with voice control ensures you’ll never get lost again, but you just might want to because it’s equipped with a range of entertainment and communication functions accessible via a 6.5 inch full touchscreen display. |
