11.6.2024 Updated Volkswagen T-Cross range launches in Singapore

With sharper design, upgraded materials, and modern Digital Cockpit, the new and improved T-Cross is available with a fuel-efficient Cat A engine.

Singapore - The visually and technically enhanced T-Cross range officially launches in Singapore in two variants - Style and R-Line, offering fun driving experiences, modern features, and versatility to Singaporean car buyers. The distinctive exterior design of the SUV has been sharpened, and the standard IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights and LED taillight clusters have been added to enhance both safety and the driving experience, providing adaptive, efficient, and visually appealing lighting.

In addition, the vehicle interior features a new dash panel with higher-quality surfaces and a new generation infotainment system. At the same time, Volkswagen has extended the safety equipment of the T-Cross, now featuring Front Assist with City Emergency Braking, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, and Lane Assist as standard, along with Adaptive Cruise Control and Travel Assist with the R-Line, elevating the everyday driving experience.

Stylish and vibrant exterior. The revamped design of the new Volkswagen T-Cross firmly establishes its Volkswagen identity. This is highlighted by the updated front bumper and contemporary radiator grille. Retaining its distinctive character, the T- Cross maintains a sleek side profile with subtly flared wings and dynamically contoured wheel arches. Noteworthy features include the redesigned rear, where the LED rear lights boast a striking 3D effect and animation.

At the same time, Volkswagen introduces three vibrant new colours to the model range: Grape Yellow, exuding a crisp, sporty vibe; Clear Blue Metallic, offering an elegant and friendly light blue hue; and Kings Red Metallic, a brilliant colour with deep saturation and strong luminosity. With a total of eight choices available, there is a shade to suit every taste.

Individualised Style and R-Line variants. The T-Cross Style embodies stylish elegance, while the T-Cross R-Line emphasises its sporty character with features like a black roof lining, brushed stainless steel pedals, and R-Line detailing. The T-Cross Style comes with new 17-inch "Manila" alloy wheels, and the T-Cross R-Line with 18-inch "Misano" alloy wheels. With these two variants, the new T-Cross offers options to suit different preferences and tastes.

IQ.LIGHT technology and Digital Cockpit Pro as standard. The updated T-Cross can be recognised immediately thanks to the new design of its front and rear ends. The front features new IQ.LIGHT LED Matrix headlamps with separate LED daytime running lights and dynamic headlight range control, enabling continuous high beam without blinding oncoming traffic. The rear boasts LED taillight clusters with 3D effect and animation, with dynamic indicator and brake light functions.

New infotainment system generation and intuitive driver experience. At the heart of the new T-Cross' interior is the prominent 8.0-inch infotainment display, boasting high resolution and user-friendly functionality, complete with App-Connect, granting you the freedom to enjoy music, manage messages, and stay informed with ease, all while keeping your focus on the road ahead. For added convenience, the T-Cross includes a standard wireless charging tray, ensuring distraction-free charging while on the move.

Moreover, the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro, conveniently positioned on the dashboard, provides drivers with real-time updates on mileage, vehicle status, speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and various safety systems, enhancing the T- Cross experience as one of the most intuitive compact SUVs.

Enhanced comfort. The dash panel in the T-Cross has undergone a complete redesign, now featuring soft-upholstered materials and significantly higher-quality surface materials, akin to larger Volkswagen models. This enhancement extends to the front door trims of both Style and R-Line variants. Moreover, both driver and front passenger can independently regulate air-con temperature on each side with Volkswagen's two- zone Climatronic system, while R-Line enthusiasts benefit from the inclusion of a Beats 300W audio system with a subwoofer, digital eight-channel amplifier, and six speakers.

Versatile and spacious for family and leisure. The T-Cross interior impresses with its proven operating concept and well-arranged space for up to five people. The sliding rear bench seat can be moved by 140 mm, varying the boot capacity between 385 litres and 455 litres while providing generous space for passengers. Folding down the rear bench seat creates a flat load area with a stowage volume of up to 1,281 litres. The continuous load area from the rear to the front is then 2,398 mm long and can stow everything from flat-pack furniture to sporting equipment. The adjustable seats further enhance the flexibility of the interior.

Travel Assist offers safety and confidence on the road. The new T-Cross R-Line offers an exclusive option of Travel Assist, a rare feature in its class, facilitating lane-keeping, adaptive cruise control, and speed regulation, alongside standard safety features like Park Assist, Front Assist with City Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Monitoring, Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, Lane Assist, a Driver Alert system, and Proactive Passenger Protection System.

Highly efficient TSI engines. The new T-Cross is driven by Volkswagen's efficient turbocharged 1.0 TSI petrol engine, delivering 85 kW (115 PS) of power. Paired with a dual-clutch, seven-speed DSG transmission, it achieves a fuel economy of 6.3L/100km.

Increased drawbar load for greater versatility. Volkswagen has also increased the drawbar load of the T-Cross by a considerable margin, from 55 kg to 75 kg. This additional 20 kg increases the maximum load that can act vertically on the removable towbar (optional). Additionally, the maximum permitted weight of bicycles that can be transported on a carrier mounted on the towbar is increased, further underscoring the versatility of the T-Cross.

Now available for purchase. The new T-Cross is now available for purchase under Category A COE in two variants - Style and R-Line - starting from $169,900 and $174,900, respectively.

Every new T-Cross is accompanied by a five-year warranty, three years of complimentary vehicle servicing, and five years of complimentary 24-hour Volkswagen Roadside Assistance.
